Helen Keller Institute for Deaf & Deafblind (HKIDB) is a registered NGO under The Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950 and The Societies Registration Act, 1860. HKIDB is also accredited by Credibility Alliance.
Donations to HKIDB are exempt from tax under section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961. We are also registered under the Foreign Contributions (Regulation) Act (FCRA) for receipt of foreign donations.
You are welcome to donate in cash or kind.
You can donate any amount that you are comfortable with. We need funds for healthy food, electricity, ensuring good hygiene for the children, creating tactile educational material, recruiting trained special educators, transportation, etc.
You can sponsor a child with multiple disabilities and visual impairment – one month’s sponsorship per child is Rs. 6,500/-. Other donations in kind (food grains, milk, medicines, etc.) are also welcome. Take a look at our ‘Wishlist’ to give you some ideas. Kindly ensure that the item donated is of good quality and in usable condition.
Celebrate your child’s birthday or your anniversary with us by organizing a picnic or a small party. We will tell you what is best for our children and what they will enjoy the most.
